How to Avoid Boredom

I haven't posted for awhile because I have been very busy but don't have too much to say. I am still working lots, and it looks like I will be working at Arvado at least until the middle of January which is nice. I will have to start looking for something else soon. I think I have posted before about a possible position opening up at the Mennonite Commission for Refugee Support. I am still looking into that and it would be GREAT, but I think financially I will still need something else too. (Please keep that in your prayers!)So, life in 2007 will be crazy. I am going to be leading a small group for the Youth Group at Waterloo MB, while still being involved sporatically at Grace MB's youth - they don't meet that often. Also, I will still be in my small group, have two, possibly three jobs, have lots of meetings for Rwanda trip, youth leadership etc and also try to keep up with my friends.

Therefore, my New Year's resolution is to not go completely crazy.

For now, my free time is spent crocheting baby blankets for cousins with babies, scrapbooking (a project that I really enjoy but fear will never end) and sleeping. I really like sleep. So I am going to go get some now.

weird relations

So I had a really weird dream last night that I thought I should share with you all. I was chasing a really cute orange kitten around a room. It was all cute and puffy and had a black freckly on it's nose. Anyway, I was chasing the orange kitten around the room and I needed to catch the kitten to help me solve a crime. It was important that I catch this particular kitten because we could pretend to be related because we both had red hair.

Then I woke up, went to work and came home 13 hours later. The confusion of it all didn't really wear off :) Now off to bed!

Christmas rush avoided!

So, the other day I finished work at Zehrs at 1pm and then I went Christmas shopping. I only had to go to the mall for one thing and everything else I got from other stores, and I finished ALL my shopping in one hour and thirty minutes. That includes driving time! Now I can relax, wrap the gifts and leave them under the tree until Christmas day. I am not going to the mall until the new year!! Well, hopefully. I still need winter boots...

"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!"

It has finally snowed here and it is lovely! I walked to work in the snow today and got really wet but it was pretty and fun. Made my day! I am finally regaining some of my Canadian-ness and the cold is not bothering me quite as much. But it is still cold! :)

The other day we put up our Christmas tree and then I had lots of energy so I moved some furniture around in my bedroom. Now my bed is not against the wall, so I have to decide what side of the bed to get up on every day. This poses a bit of a problem since I am not used to this. Now there exists the possiblity of getting up on the wrong side!! :)
